In an article written for LifeGrid Magazine a few months ago, I looked at the question of “marketing as craft?” Is it possible to take something that’s been honed to almost a science of manipulation and use it for good? It’s certainly a question we should consider. Beer and liquor companies run campaigns telling us to “drink responsibly” and no doubt some of the biggest polluters on the planet will sponsor “green” initiatives. But that’s not what I’m talking about here. We’ve got to take a serious look at what we’re doing to ourselves and seek a better alternative, don’t we?

In other words, instead of trying to put lipstick on a pig, or whitewash a sepulchre of “dead men’s bones,” let’s take a look at how things would look if we started out seeking what is ideal and true and held ourselves to that standard. Couldn’t hurt…
